国务院总理温家宝承诺，对此次动车追尾重大事故的调查结果将经受住历史考验。

文中的stand the test of history就是指经受住历史考验。平常大家常用stand the test来表示经受住考验，类似的说法还有stand the test of time（经得起时间的考验），譬如：True friendship must stand the test of time.（真的的友谊须经得起时间的考验。）
